Catskill 3500 Club Winter Weekend

Come join the 3500 Club Winter Weekend January 25-27, 2013!

Do you need any winter peaks? Do you want to get more comfortable with snowshoeing? All 4 required winter peaks as well as some bushwhacks will be led by experienced hike leaders so you can pack in two fun-filled days in the outdoors and spend a great weekend in the beautiful Catskills. We will be offering bushwhacks in the area for those who already have their required peaks and are working on your winter round, or if you just want to get away, you can join in too!

As last year's weekend was so popular, we will once again be at the Frost Valley YMCA - a great setting not only for hiking, but also for cross-country skiing. There are two housing options available: the Friendship House, which is inn like housing, rooms with double beds and private baths, and Biscuit Brook Lodge, a large cabin with bunks, which has a central meeting space with a fireplace (perfect after a day of playing in the snow!). Costs are $282 for the hotel rooms which includes both nights (UPDATE: Unfortunately, there is already a waiting list for the Hotel option, though there are inn style lodging options 15-20 minutes away from Frost Valley, which we can give you details on), $36 for a bunk for the weekend and everyone pays $83 for food costs (Friday night light snack through Sunday lunch and that includes box lunches for those hiking).
