It's Snowed in the Catskills!

10/28/08

While this isn't the Catskill's earliest ever snowfall, it's pretty early. With temperatures expected to reach the upper 40°s by the end of the week, this will begin to melt, but be sure and check conditions before you head out.

NOAA Statement: THE FOLLOWING ARE UNOFFICIAL OBSERVATIONS TAKEN FOR THE STORM THAT HAS BEEN AFFECTING OUR REGION.

Please check your conditions before heading out. Remember conditions can be much more severe at higher elevations with deeper snow then in the valley. Snow is heavy and wet and will break tree limbs. Please check for trail conditions by contacting local rangers, visiting the NYSDEC website or browsing an online trail forum before heading out.
